Ask A Friend: What Are You Voting For?

The pollsters may not think you are a “likely voter” who will show up on Election Day. The media may not think progressives will determine what this election is about. But the pundits and pollsters don't get to decide that. We do.

If you've already changed your social network profile picture to announce that you are voting and why, use the form below to encourage all your friends to do the same.

What are you voting for?

Here is the message that we are going to append:

Dear Friend,

The pundits and pollsters are saying people like you are not going to vote.

You don’t have any enthusiasm for politicians who pander to the Tea Party, while supporting the priorities of corporations and the wealthy. You’d really like more change, not less.

The pollsters may not think you are a “likely voter” who will show up on Election Day. But the pundits and pollsters don't get to decide that. You do.

Tell all your friends that you ARE voting, and WHY. Go to OurFuture.org/votingfor.

If you are a part of Facebook, Twitter or any social network or instant messaging service, you can replace your profile picture with one of our "I'm Voting For…" graphics – to broadcast what you are voting for.

You can let the nation know that you are voting for issues that will determine the future of America, such as "Social Security," "Clean Energy" "Affordable College" and "Jobs."

Go to OurFuture.org/votingfor and follow the simple steps.

When you choose one of these graphics for your social network profile, you will not only make clear that progressives will be making their voices heard at the ballot box, you'll be reminding your friends, neighbors and colleagues what’s at stake in this election.

Tell the media and the nation that you are voting, and why. Go to OurFuture.org/votingfor.

The media doesn't decide if there is an enthusiasm gap. We do.

And there won't be an enthusiasm gap if we actively share what's at stake – and pass it on.

Sincerely,

Robert Borosage      Roger Hickey
